Last night we put Kyle to bed and little ears fighting sleep overheard Daddy saying a potty word. Kyle came out of his room and told Daddy," I heard what you said, you said sh...it". Kyle separates the 2 parts so that he isn't saying it. Pete apologized and gave Kyle a dollar as his penalty for using a naughty word. Pete then told Kyle that if he heard Daddy say it again that he would give Kyle another dollar.
Later that night, at 11:30, Pete and I were climbing into bed and Kyle was already in there and asleep. Looking at Kyle I told Pete that I was so happy we had Kyle and that I just adored him. Kyle then out of no where sounding groggy says,"Mommy your my best." I was so surprised and we started telling each other how much we loved one another and the whole time Kyle had his eye closed and sounded as though he was in between being awake and asleep. THEN Kyle opens his eyes and says very sternly to Daddy,"Oh and by the way I heard you say sh..it and you owe me a dollar!" I was cracking up. Daddy got caught again. First thing this morning Kyle was looking for his other dollar.

All caught up
SO I think that is about it. I know there is more but I guess those are the highlights of our crazy life! Hope you enjoy the updates!!!
College Bound
On Tuesday I went and signed up for full-time College classes. I am pretty excited to be going back to school. School starts in January and I am going to start working on my Associates in Accounting. I am ready mentally and emotionally to get this done. With the economy the way it is I am so scared and I need to do this for myself and my Family. I will be taking 4 classes, 3 online and 1 in an actual class setting. I am just ready to rock this out!!!
Getting ready for Christmas
This year has been a little hard for me to get in the mood. I just realized last night that Christmas is only one week away..yikes. We have our decorations up but it just doesn't feel like Christmas this year. I am trying my best to get it together though. Going back to Halloween
Halloween was a lot of fun. Kyle dressed up as Ironman his new favorite Super Hero. He really took on the Ironman character, which Kyle loves to do. He went to his Gammy and Papas house to Trick or Treat and then went on to Mana and Pawpaws house to do a little Trick or Treating at their house. After that Kyle had suckered his Mana and Pawpaw into letting him stay Friday and Saturday night at their house....push overs :). Since Kyle was staying the night at Mana and Pawpaws Pete and I went to an adult Halloween party. We had a ton of fun. Pete dressed up in a zoot suit and looked quite handsome and I dressed up as a Playboy Bunny, G Rated, since that was the theme of the party so Pete and I were Bunny and Clyde...haha. Yeah I know it is cheesy. It was fun though.
Kyle and School
I can't even begin to tell you how happy and proud of Kyle I am. He just seems to amaze me everyday. Kyles school is in my opinion one of the top schools in Maricopa and pretty great compared to all of the other schools across the valley. It may not be the most organized school but the classroom is organized and that is really what matters. Everyday Kyle is telling me something new that he has learned and not just the basic knowledge a Kindergartner has but it is knowledge beyond his grade level. For example the other day we were driving past a Christmas tree lot and I said, " OH that is such a pretty Christmas tree!" Kyle responds back, " I am going to make it plural now and say those are pretty Christmas trees." I was so shocked and I asked him if he could tell me what nouns and verbs were and he was right on with his answers. I know kids learn this stuff but not half way through their first year of Kindergarten! It blows my mind what he is learning. Kyle was on the Honor Roll for his first semester and that makes me so happy. He is also reading now, I have a feeling he could read a couple of months ago but didn't let on that he could, which is not uncommon for Kyle to do. All in all Kyle is doing great in school and Pete and I are sooooo very proud of him!
Afraid this would happen
Okay so when I started this blog I had good intentions of keeping it up to date but I guess with life being so busy and unpredictable I just haven't. I feel bad because so much has been going on over the past couple of months. Today is a day of catch up.

The Toast
Okay so I tried to come up with something my Sister and Dave would enjoy and I think I accomplished it. If you knew my family it makes the speech even funnier. It was the highlight of my trip though seeing them laugh!
When I think of Angelica and Dave I think of a quote from one of my favorite movies, Steel Magnolias. I am going to change it a little to fit the occasion. "Angelica comes from a good old Southern Family with good old Southern values- you either shoot it, stuff it or marry it." What a relief she didn't shoot him because I know my Mom would serve Dave Gumbo for the next Monday night dinner. I am glad she didn't stuff him because I know my Parents would display him next to their bird collection. I am so happy she married him. Angelica and Dave are so meant for one another. They are so much alike and enjoy a lot of the same things like camping, hunting, being adventurous, animals and much more. For all of the things they don't have in common they seem to balance each other out on like Dave loves to cook and Angelica doesn't, Angelica is terrified of coyotes and Dave shoots them, Angelica has a ton of hair and well....Dave doesn't. I have no doubt they will always love and cherish one another. After all the couple that hunts together stays together. I am so happy for you both and congratulations on your marriage. Oh and Dave always remember that Angelica is a good old Southern girl with good old Southern values and if you aren't good to her there are always 2 other options for you. I love you both and congrats!

The Day of the Wedding
The Night Before the Wedding
The night before the wedding the girls all hung out together and had some fun. We tried on our dress one last time and got ourselves ready for the big day. We stayed in my Moms cabin and just had a lot of girly fun. Here are some pictures of us having fun. There is also a picture of Kyle snuggling a hand towel I made into a teddy bear because I forgot his :).

Rehersal Dinner
Only 4 more days to go until my Sister, Angelica's, wedding. Last night we all got together for the rehearsal dinner. We had so much fun! Kyle was so cute and had so much fun! He actually gave Auntie Bean and Dave a toast which consisted of banging on a glass and saying cheers. Such a big boy :)! He was very proud of himself. This weekend is going to be great! We are all looking forward to celebrating more!

Birthday Bash
This weekend Kyle went to his best friend, Dalaynie's. 5th Birthday Party. The theme was a "Little Chefs". The kids all got to make a dirt cake which consists of crushed oreos, chocolate pudding, gummy worms and fake flowers. The kids had a ton of fun. Kyle and Dalaynie have been friends for almost 3 years now and they just adore one another. It is almost obsession for Kyle :). I don't think a day goes by where he doesn't ask to play with her or says he misses her. She is in Minnesota right now and will be gone for 2 weeks. It is going to be a long 2 weeks for Kyle.

Fiddlesticks
Today we took Kyle to Fiddlesticks and played some miniature golf and let him ride the go carts. We had so much fun! Kyle really enjoyed riding the go carts. It was his first time ever driving one. It was very cute! Now I know why they have bumpers all around the track! He really enjoyed the golf although he did cheat a little :)! It was a great time!

Bachelorette Party
On Saturday my Mom and I hosted a bridal shower and a bachlorette party for my Sister that is getting married the first week of October! OMG we had so much fun! The shower was small but nice and once the champagne came out for the after party things were so much fun! We were originally going to go to Dos Gringos but changed our minds and decided to go dancing! We had sooo much fun, too much fun! We danced for about 4 hours at Graham Central Station! After the place closed down we made a run to Denny's at 3am and got some breakfast because that is what you do after a night of dancing and drinking! Here are some fun pictures from the night!

Way to go Kyle!!!!
Today we got Kyle's first Progress Report from Kindergarten and he got all 100%'s on everything! Everything from homework, tests, behavior and more! I am soooo proud of him! He is just doing an amazing job at school. He is really enjoying it too. I can't even tell you everything he has learned there, it is just so much. Next week they are starting 1st grade math. Can you believe it. It is the 4th week of Kindergarten and the kids will be doing 1st grade projects now. I am so happy to see Kyle not struggling with any of it! What an awesome kid I have! Just thought I would pass on my happiness!

Kyle's First week of school
Kyle's first week of school couldn't have gone any better! He loves his teacher, his new friends and his Principal, yes my son has a crush on the Principal! He came home everyday just wiped out, in a good way! In one week he has turned into a new kid. He is better behaved, he is learning a ton already and he is just happy about school! They have all been so accommodating to us. Everyday they let us take Kyle directly to his classroom so that he doesn't have to stand out in the heat since it bothers his skin so now everyone in the office knows Kyle....go figure! We got a note home from his Teacher the other day that said "Kyle is doing so great in the class. He was a perfect example for all of my Students today!". It made my day! This is going to be a great year for Kyle!!!!! The best part of it all he is so much more snuggly with Mommy when he gets home. I am getting extra lovins from my little boy and that makes my day!
New Job
Today Pete started his new job. Yes after 3 weeks of playing wifey Pete decided to go back to work, I can't imagine why... He had a great first day. It was fun for him to be working with the same guys he worked with 6 years ago. Fun little reunion for all of them I am sure. It was a little weird for him I think since he is not a party chief but we are taking what we can get. They actually fired someone to make the position available for Pete. I know it will only be a matter of time and Pete will be back to being a crew leader. Until then he can enjoy a stress free job.

First Day of Kindergarten
Wow. I am so exhausted. Today seemed like it lasted forever! We woke up early this morning and went and had Kyle's favorite breakfast, pancakes at my work. Afterwards we went home and got ready for school. He was sooo cute in his uniform! We got to school at 11:30 and waited for school to start. I held it together really well until he started crying while we were waiting outside for the flag ceremony to start. It was so hot outside and he was getting really upset because he his eczema starting really bothering him. His teacher saw how much he was upset by the heat and told us we could go wait inside thankfully. Pete and I left with no tears from anyone, surprisingly. When Pete and I got home we did the most exciting thing we have done in a while....we played Mariokart for an hour :)! We went to go get Kyle and he was so happy about his first day of school. He had a lot of stories to tell, some of which were made up ;). We took him to McDonald's and let him play for about an hour to celebrate his big day. When we got home we did his homework and now we are all a little tired. Today felt like 2 days crammed into one! It couldn't have gone any better though. His teacher, Mrs. Voyles, is awesome. We are so excited to have her. We have heard many wonderful things about her and her teaching abilities! I really hope Kyle loves school! Here are some of the pictures that were taken of Kyle today!

Update
So there isn't much to say other than I have been really busy. I have taken on more hours at work to kind of prepare ourselves for what might be ahead for our family. Pete is taking it easy at home, of course helping out a ton around the house and playing "Wifey", and just taking his time looking for a job again. He has always worked so hard so I told him that I don't mind if he stays at home for a while and I will work more. I definitely don't make what he makes, if he could get that again, but I can pay the bills. It feels good to be able to offer him the break. I doubt it will last long but just in case I am taking any and all hours I can get. It feels good as a Woman to know that if anything happened like this that I could and can take care of things. I am definitely appreciating my job right now and thankful I have it. Kyle is enjoying having Pete home a lot more. Pete is still doing contract work for the company but it isn't everyday. It has been about 2 days a week so that is helping. Everything is working out just fine right now so we will keep trucking along like we are! Wish us luck!

New Tattoo
When I was pregnant with Kyle I got some stretch marks on my stomach. I thought they would go away but after 5 and a half years they are still there. They aren't terrible but I am extremely embarrassed about them. I decided to go get a tattoo to cover them. I went in for my first session on Friday. Boy that was fun! 2 hours of buzzing and uncomfortableness and it is almost half way done. I love it though. It looks awesome and it will look even better when it is done. I found an amazing guy to do it. He drew on the design free hand. What talent. Anyways here is what is done.

Camping
This weekend we went camping with my family. It was so nice because we don't get to go camping that much with my Mom and my Dad. Kyle was so looking forward to it and had a blast, until this morning. I think he was a little worn out today and made the morning a little frustrating. Too much stimulation I guess. It was still so nice to get away. Kyle was so sweet and picked a bunch of "voutquets", as he called them, for all of the girls in camp.
Before we left Uncle Dave let Mommy, Daddy and Kyle shoot his riffle. Kyle loved it!!!! I haven't shot a gun in a long time and wanted to try it again. I shot it and it actually felt really good. I centered the target just like a pro. I used to be really accurate with a gun but I didn't know how well I would do after this long. Good times though.

Feeling a little tense
My stomach is in knots right now. Last night I found out that Pete will be laid off today. Right now he is meeting with one of the Bosses from his company to find out his fate. This sucks. The past 5 and a half years have been nothing but instability, not due to anything Pete has done it has just turned out this way. This is the 4th job Pete has had in the past 5 and a half years. One company went under, 2 companies have now closed down the Arizona office and laid off Pete and one company Pete left for another better job. Before all of this Pete had the same job for 6 years. We never worried about any of this. It just sucks for all of us but mostly Pete. I have faith that everything will be fine but the unknown is sooo scary! I am just wiped out right now. I feel so bad for Pete. I know he is feeling awful right now. He has 1 job offer right now with a huge pay cut and less benefits and another possible job that he is really wanting to get. I hope it works out for him on the one he really wants. Money isn't as important anymore as stability is for our family and Pete's happiness. We just need to have something stable. The one thing that stinks is the market is so bad so Survey Crews are getting laid off everywhere which means a lot of people are going for the same position as he is. The one thing I hope he has in his favor is his reputation and his knowledge and experience. He is a very valuable employee but that does no good if the work isn't there for people to need him. I guess we will just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best! That is all we can do.

Fun shopping trips in Maricopa
Okay so I am always amused and amazed by the way people act in public. I am a complete people watcher and observer. I am just addicted to it. I think we all are but I love it. After tonight I am totally convinced the freaks come out at night in Maricopa, which probably would explain why I was out late at night :). Every time I go to the grocery store late at night I always see something that makes me giggle. Tonight there was some weird guy 1 person behind me. He had a foul, loud mouth that seemed to echo throughout the store and was dressed in his pajamas. His poor wife was with him and didn't look very comfortable. If I was her I would never leave the house with him. I was laughing at the poor bagger. He looked like he was scared crapless of this guy coming through the line.
I was so happy tonight though when the cashier rang up my groceries and I gave her all of my coupons and I ended up saving 96% of my bill. I paid $1.66 for all of my groceries, $.96 of that was tax, and I saved $18.00 with buying things that were on sale and combining my coupons with those items. I am such a coupon nerd!! Gotta love grocery trips like that!!!!

The Boys hard at work!!!
Flowers from Pete
On Friday Pete came home and surprised me with flowers. They are absolutely beautiful. They are Lillies and as an extra little treat he took $240.00 worth of $20's and stuffed them into the bouquet. What a guy. I was thrilled just to get some beautiful flowers but the cash was a pleasant surprise. I am taking the money and getting the tattoo I have wanted for a long time this Friday, pretty excited about that!! I always love being surprised by him. He is way too good to me.
The Last T-Ball Game
On Saturday we had Kyles last game. It was hot and sticky and the kids were anxious to get it over with. I thought they would all be so excited to play their last game. They were but they just wanted it over with. They all had fun when they got into it but it is hard to have fun when it is 115 outside and your being told to chase a ball. They made it though. Here is a picture of Kyle and his Coach.
