Getting ready for school
I can't believe the time is here where we are doing back to school shopping, parent orientations and just preparing ourselves for what is about to happen. How did my little boy grow up so fast. I thought I would have so much more time than this. I have been home everyday with him since he was born and it has just flown by. I don't know how 5 and a half years have gone by so quickly!!! I am feeling a little uneasy about Kyle starting school. On certain days I am happy and excited for him and on other days I feel like I am handing my kid over to some stranger and cutting the cord and letting him go. This is so hard for me. He is ready for this. I am ready for this, in ways. I look back at pictures from a year ago when he had more babyish features and I just want to cry. We will never be able to get these days back and that is sad to me. I miss the small snuggles and the first giggles. I want that back. On a happier note I know that this year will be just amazing for Kyle. He is the complete opposite of what I was like at his age. I was quiet, shy and scared of my own shadow. Kyle is full of personality, confidence and is just so outgoing that he will just flourish in a school enviroment, oh and I forgot to say extremely smart. I can't wait to pack his little lunches, walk him to his class every morning and pick him up everyday, do homework and meet his new friends. Exciting new adventures are in store for all of us. The picture is of Kyle on the first day of preschool in 06 when he was 3 and a half.
The Adventures of Kyle

On Saturday my whole family came out to watch the wonderful Kyle play T-Ball. The kids did very well this week. Kyle made his "home runs" and we all got to cheer him on. He felt pretty good about it all. Afterwards my Parents asked to take Kyle home with them so that he could spend the night. On Sunday Kyle went over to his Auntie Bean and Dave's house for a chocolate covered doughnut for breakfast, lucky kid. They then took him shopping to get some "pots and pans" for Mana which were actually code for rubber snakes. They came back to my Moms house and hid them all over the place to scare her. Good times. After that my Parents took him to the movies to see Wally, what fun he has! They then went on to Walmart for some shopping and ran into some characters from Star Wars. Above is the picture he took with them. I am always amazed as to how good everyone is to him. Yes he is family but that doesn't always mean a lot. He is the center of our family and he knows it. It is great to see him have a relationship with his Grandparents like I had with mine. It makes a kid feel so special and I am always so appreciative of the quality time they spend with him and for making him feel as special as he is!

Funny Video
So anyone that knows me and my Family knows that we are all from Louisiana and a little crazy, in a good way of course. I was emailed this video from my Sister and my Papa in Louisiana. It is so funny because I can see my anyone in my Family doing this to each other. We love to laugh, have fun and torment the crap out of each other. It makes for great times and memories. I hope you enjoy the video....
Unbunco Fun
I have been so blessed with friends that I love being around. My friend, Jen, is part of a group that plays Bunco monthly. This month they tried to do something a little different, bowling. I love bowling and I am very competitive so I really get into the game. I am not very good but I love playing it. We took some fun pictures of us acting silly. We don't get out much to do things like this so we definitely make up for it when we do get to get out and we don't have to worry about being Moms. The night was so much fun. After bowling
and a few drinks we hit IHOP for some late night breakfast, I haven't done that in years. I am so happy that I have friends that I have so much fun with.

Camping Father's Day Weekend
So in celebration of the greatest Dad ever we took Pete camping. Pete loves camping. It is his favorite thing for all of us to do! We decided to go up to Prescott to see what we could find and we ended up staying at a small campsite that had a very small little creek running by it. It was very relaxing a peaceful. There was a lake just 5 minutes away, driving. The first day we saw 7 deer walking through the woods on our way to the lake. We decided to go fishing for a little while, which did not interest Pete or Kyle in the least. I didn't catch anything but I had fun. We had a picnic by the water and just enjoyed spending time as a family. Kyle and I took a stroll and found a kid that had caught a snake. That made Kyle's day because he got to touch it. Back at camp we ate dinner and made smores, Mommy and Kyle's favorite! On Sunday we walked over to the creek and Kyle had fun catching little water bugs in the water. We touch some really nice pictures of the boys by the creek. I love times like that. I think Pete enjoyed his Father's Day. He deserved the time to relax.
T-Ball
Kyle had his first T-Ball game June 22nd and boy was it fun. Kyle has been doing really well. I just love their little uniforms and seeing the kids just feel so big and bad. They get out there and it is like a bunch of lost little ducklings. They give it their best though. Pete is one of the Coach's helpers so it has been good for Pete and Kyle to be doing something together outside of the house. I am the one who always does these kind of activities with Kyle because in the past any extra carricular activities for Kyle were during the day. I just sit on the sidelines cheering them on. Kyle
playing T-Ball is what I dreamed having a boy would be like. I love being the cheering Mom. He has so much fun chasing and throwing the ball and making a "score". He is so encouraging to all of the kids, including the opposing team. When the kids were running bases he was cheering them on. The funniest part though was when he kept trying to steal 3rd. He was sent back to 2nd base probaly 3 times. He has his Mom's competitive spirit. He can't help it. Good times.
Blogging....
So everyone I know seems to be Bloggers and good ones at that. I thought I would give it a shot. Hopefully I will find Family and Friends checking in on us to get the latest and greatest on what we are up to these days. So much happens day to day that I am sure it should be interesting as long as I keep it up.
